Hello, Intel Graphics team
So on September 9th a new simulator game called Firefighting Simulator the Ignite has launched and I am surprised that no launch drivers have been provided by the Intel Driver team yet as the game is an Unreal engine 5 game, so I know this game is massively unoptimized on intel graphics cards so I was hoping that the graphics driver team will drop driver specifically bringing optimizations for the game and support related to this game. I have already installed the game and I've seen many performance issues like the upscalers don't work well, Texture glitching, Sudden lag spikes, shadows not showing properly, etc and overall the game's performance is not up to the mark, so I was hoping that you guys would soon launch a driver for the game. Thank you.

Hello ZahinfanofARC,
Thank you for posting on Intel Community Forum.
I understand that you have concerns about Firefighting Simulator since release. To investigate further, kindly share the information below.
1. Is the issue isolated to Firefighting Simulator?
2. Which game distribution platform is used (Steam, Epic Games, etc.)?
3. When do the texture glitches occur?
4. Do lag spikes happen at specific moments?
5. Kindly share a short video clip demonstrating the issue if possible.
Additionally, to have a better understanding of your system configuration and components please generate System Support Utility (SSU) report. Please follow instructions here and send the report - How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*
I look forward to your response.
Best regards

Another Issue I am sharing,
While moving around in the game, there is a ghosting effect that surrounds the player. It's like too much noise around the movement of the player, as well as while driving the truck and other things. The same issue I have faced in other games also. I checked several videos on YouTube, and their gameplay looks clean and does not have a noisy or ghosting effect. I have attached a video file of that issue. Kindly check it out.

Hey. I am attaching the Log file of presentmon data, which I recorded while playing the game for a few moments. In the data, you can see proper frame time and frame pacing issues, which I hope will help you guys to improve it. I have done some research and found out Intel driver stacks have frame pacing issues for UE5 games, making them feel laggy, unstable frame time, and frame pacing issues. So i hope with the data below you will be able to solve the issue in the next driver update

My enquiry was that you guys should work on the drivers for this game as it is newly launched and its Ue5 game so I think there is room for improvements through druvers.
Now answering your questions:
1. Is the issue isolated to Firefighting Simulator?
As my post was related to this game so, yes.
2. Which game distribution platform is used (Steam, Epic Games, etc.)?
Steam
3. When do the texture glitches occur?
Randomly, not at any specific time/
4. Do lag spikes happen at specific moments?
No, its occurs randomly. The frame time is not smooth. and the thing is I use FSR frame gen with my arc card the game feels smoother before, but still lag spikes are there and the visual are not great with FSR you know. I even used optiscaler with Xess and Frame gen still it give lag spikes. people with Nvidia and AMD are playing smoothly without any issues. Only with this intel I am facing issue. Ok thats not the point, I think the driver team should look after the game and release a driver for this.
Hoping to hear from you good news

Hello ZahinfanofARC,
Thank you for providing the information.
To facilitate a more accurate comparison on our end, we kindly request that you collect CapFrame data while ensuring the game is played for a minimum duration of three minutes. Additionally, please share the System Support Utility report so we can review your system configurations.
May we also confirm whether Resizable BAR (ReBar) is currently enabled?
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to your response.
Best regards

Thank you for replying. It's great to see that you are very active in fixing the issue.
The issues currently facing are low FPS without any upscalers or frame generation. It doesn't go up to 40fps, and the 1% lows are also very low, which feels like the game is very laggy. The frame time is also very much. Another thing is that without using any upscalers, the game's anti-aliasing looks much worse, and there is a ghosting-type effect, or the effect that is seen after using upscalers. I have even disabled the upscaler from the game engine file, but still, the game looks that bad. I have checked the gameplay of others on YouTube, and their game looks clean and sharp, but on Intel, this is worse. Maybe this is a driver-level issue, and you guys can fix it.
I am attaching the CapFrameX data, PresentMon Data, A short gameplay addressing the Ghositng or frame pacing issue, and SSU logs.
Please fix the issues, this GPU is very much capable of running this game without any issue, but there are issues I am facing.
Looking forward to hear from you soon and please update me if any decision you guys take

Hello ZahinfanofARC,
I really appreciate your cooperation and rest assured that we'll be taking this matter seriously. For replication purposes, could you also share the exact game settings that you are running?
Also, please try the steps below first to see if it will make any changes.
1. Enable ReBar
2. Update the BIOS to the latest version 7C95v2M
I look forward to your response.

Thanks for your reply.
I have already updated my BIOS, and Rebar is enabled. So no worries from my side. I think now the issue is from your side or the driver level. I just hope you will address the issues I mentioned or keep me updated on your progress. That's all I need to know as a user of this GPU, and thanks.
Talking about game settings, I am using high-epic settings, and one of the issues I addressed was that the game looks worse and looks like upscalers are enabled, but the fact is that everything is disabled, and antialiasing is also set to high. But still, the issue is there. I think this is for the frame pacing issue caused by high frame time and other things, maybe which you guys would know properly. I am sharing the game engine.ini files so that you can check all the settings properly. Also, sometimes the game crashes, and logs are generated. I will share those for a better understanding of any other problem
Cheers,
Zahin

Hello ZahinfanofARC,
We would just like to confirm if a clean installation using DDU was performed? Please let us know as this step is crucial with our investigation.
I look forward to your response.

Thanks for your reply.
Yes, the DDU clean installation was performed, and I do it all the time while installing new drivers. I think the issue here is with the current driver sets. But I know you guys are working to figureit out.
Another question, did you figure anything out yet? Cz it's been 1 week since my question in the forum. So just wanted to know if the team has already started worming or not?

Hello ZahinfanofARC,
We attempted to replicate the issue in our test lab using both the Arc and its Nvidia counterpart, but observed no significant differences in behavior. Additionally, could you kindly confirm which specific issue you would like us to prioritize? It appears that multiple concerns have been raised, and to maintain clarity and efficiency, we can only address one issue per thread.
I hope to hear from you soon.

I mean, the frame time stability, and as said, there is a ghosting effect type when moving around the gam, which looks like an upscaler is being used, but at very low quality. I think this is called frame pacing or smth which I have found from ChatGPT. This issue is in AMD and Nvidia also, but the amount of this ghosting is much more than that of both of its counterparts. Additionally, I have given so much data from which you can easily determine what issues my system is facing, and if anything you guys get from your side to optimize the game for better framerates, you can do it, that's it.

Hello ZahinfanofARC,
I am writing to provide you with an update regarding the issue.
We conducted a simulation of the game using both the Intel Arc A770 and NVIDIA RTX 4060 graphics cards. During testing, both cards demonstrated similar performance levels and exhibited the same ghosting issue.
Based on these observations, and considering that other users have reported experiencing similar problems, we can reasonably conclude that the issue is related to the game itself rather than the hardware.
Since we were unable to reproduce the issue, we recommend that you contact the Game Developer Firefighting Simulator Ignite as this might be isolated to the game itself.
With this in mind, I will now close this inquiry. If you have other questions or concerns, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.
Best regards
