Overwatch 2 Directx12 B580

Switching from Directx11 to Directx12 in overwatch causes a major decrease in fps even with xess. Is there a way to optimize it?

To address the issue effectively, kindly share the information below.

 

1. May I kindly confirm if the issue is isolated to Overwatch 2?

2. Could you please share the FPS performance results when using DirectX 11 compared to DirectX 12?

3. Constant low FPS or drops during specific moments?

4. What troubleshooting steps have you performed? This is to avoid repeating the steps you already tried

4. Kindly generate System Support Utility report - How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*

 

To assist us in analyzing the performance more accurately, we would appreciate it if you could generate and share CapFrameX data and please ensure that you play the game for at least 3 minutes. This will allow us to compare the values and better understand the behavior of your system under different configurations.

Hello JedG thank you for taking time to help me. Yes its only an issue in overwatch 2 DirectX 12 mode, the game recently released direct x 12 and I am not sure if the drivers ever got optimized for it. Normally I get 300 fps on low settings DirectX 11, however on 12 I get 100 fps with xess on performance. The reason I want to run 12 is because 11 doesn't have xess only fsr which looks very bad. As for trouble shooting I have done ddu and the issue has been through different updates to the drivers, also reinstalled a fresh copy of windows when I was running into another issue. I can get the system utility report when I get home.
