GPU = Intel Arc B580
OS = Ubuntu server 26.04
When I go from full power off, to power on (even without drivers installed), my GPU prides a video output.
However when I reboot, there is no video output any more, and the GPU is not detected.
The OS is booted (I can SSH into it), but the GPU is not detected.
It occurs ever boot,.
Bios version is at the latest.

Hi,
Before this I have only tried a warm reboot.
Just tested: It does happen with a hard reboot (tested 3 times: from working, hard reboot (button on case wired to the reset switch on the motherboard), OS booted but no GPU out).
Side note: reboot in general seems faster than power on.
Regarding SSU, note I am running Ubuntu Server 26.04, in my case headless, and your instructions are Windows GUI based. But https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000008563/ethernet-products.html had the instructions I needed.
I ran SSU while there was a display out ("SSU with GPU detected.txt"), and after a reboot thus without a display signal ("SSU no display out.txt").

I found some other weird apparent GPU behavior, specifically a display signal switch effecting if the GPU is detected on boot:
When booting (from cold) the PC with a HDMI cable straight from GPU to the monitor, the system **detects** and uses the GPU.
When booting (from cold) the PC without any HDMI cable the system **detects** the GPU.
But when booting (from cold) the PC with a HDMI switch (set to connect the PC and the monitor) between the PC and the monitor, the system **does not detect** the GPU.
But when booting (from cold) the PC with a HDMI switch (set not connect the PC and the monitor, from other experience I know the PC should be aware it is not connected) between the PC and the monitor, the system **does detect** the GPU, when after boot switching the HDMI switch to connect the PC and the monitor, the monitor claims **not** to have any display signal.
I do **not** really care about the actual display signal.
I do really care about detecting the GPU, since I want to use it for compute.

Disregard the last message.
The HDMI switch is powered by the HDMI cable, one of the inserted cables was linked to a powered off system via an HDMI to DVI cable, without that cable connected the GPU is detected every time I boot from cold.
