Must AMT be provisioned before reading/writing data from/to the 3PDS? Our application does not need all of the features of AMT, such as remote access, so we were wondering if we could use the 3PDS without provisioning AMT first.

Hello,
Yes, as 3PDS is a feature of Active Management Technology, you must provision AMT before you can use 3PDS. If you are new to 3PDS you might want to view some of the videos that our on our site as well as looking throught the Storage Design Guide that is available in the DOC Folder of the Intel AMT Software Development Toolkit.
