Reading CPU temp via SNMP

Hello!

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question, but i don't know where to post it.

I'm doing a project with monitoring different reading via SNMP - that works fine, but I can't find the OID for the CPU temp anywhere - I'm really frustrated.

My system is an S5000VSA board with 2x5140 CPU's - I have loaded the correct MIB files (and installed the Intel SubAgent), but I cant find the place to read CPU temp in the

.iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.intel.products.server-management.software.baseboardGroup5

Could anyone here maybe tell me the correct place to get the CPU temp reading from.

Thank you very much for your help.

Regards
Jesper N. Schioett, Denmark

Hello,

Have you investigated the APIs associated with AfscInst.dll? PROC_HOT returns a relative value for processor temperature. Also the Thermal mechanical design guides should be available for you to look at as well on the Intel support/downloads site.
