Test environment - ics 4.1 - device: iPhone 6s, iPhoneX - device rotate off - The app rotation support option is landscape - The video is displayed in landscape orientation. * Reference Other video capture apps use the AVCaptureConnection class I fixed it by specifying AVCaptureVideoOrientationPortrait in the videoOrientation property.
