Error enumerating AFCs: no driver available

Hi,

I am using OpenCL on an Aria 10 node and have generated an .aocx file. However, when I try to program the FPGA by using:

aocl program acl0 xxx.aocx

This error message pops out:

Error enumerating AFCs: no driver available
Error enumerating AFCs: no driver available
Error parsing device name ''
aocl program: Running program from /opt/a10/inteldevstack/a10_gx_pac_ias_1_2_1_pv/opencl/opencl_bsp/linux64/libexec
Error parsing device name ''
Error enumerating AFCs: no driver available
Error programming device
aocl program: Program failed.

This happened a few months ago and it was fixed later (https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-DevCloud/Error-enumerating-AFCs-no-driver-available/m-p/1459733/emcs_t/S2h8ZW1haWx8dG9waWNfc3Vic2NyaXB0aW9ufExFTVIwOFhYTTMzN0Q0fDE0NTk3MzN8U1VCU0NSSVBUSU9OU3xoSw). However, this error message showed up again in our recent usage.

I ran aocl diagnose command later and saw this error message in BSP Diagnostics:

BSP Diagnostics
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Error enumerating AFCs: no driver available
Error enumerating AFCs: no driver available
Error parsing device name ''
Error enumerating AFCs: no driver available
Error parsing device name ''

This happens on both nodes s005-n007 and s005-n004.

The corresponding screenshot is attached.

Please let me know what may be the cause of this. Thank you!

Hi,

Thanks for posting in Intel communities.

We tried to reproduce the issue from our end, but it is working fine

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. We have tested and verified the aocl diagnose is working fine on both nodes (s005-n007 and s005-n004). PFA screenshot.

Can you please check in on your side, and let us know if you see any issues.

Thanks

Thanks for replying.

I tried again and it is now working. For some reason that problem occurred on 3/10.

Please close this thread. Thank you!
