Failed to create log files when connecting to intel Devcloud

Hey all,

I'm trying to connect to intel DevCloud using VS Code.

When choosing "intel Developer cloud: setup connection" I get the following error:

"Failed to create log files."

I tried to reinstall the VS Code and the extensions.

I can connect to intel DevCloud from the terminal using "ssh DevCloud"

Thanks for posting in Intel Communities.

We were able to replicate the issue from our side. Sorry for the inconvenience caused and thanks for reporting the same. We are working on this internally and will let you know when the issue is resolved.

As a temporary workaround, can you try using Jupyter Lab which is accessible at the bottom of the page Get Started | Intel® DevCloud until we fix this.

The current platforms supported by the extension are 

• Windows* 10 or Linux* Ubuntu* 18.04/20.04 (currently tested platforms).

Support for macOS will be added in the future. Thanks also for bringing this issue to light. We will add correct handling in case of unsupported OS
