Can we use a NCS2 to run traditional image processing algorithms without an neural network?

Hi, I have used the intel ncs2 on a project running a neural network using openvino, the stick is great but now I'm wondering if it is possible to run traditional real time image processing algorithms on the stick without a neural network, anyone knows?

iF it is possible, can someone share some links to see the workflow?

Thanks in advance.

Fernando.

Hi Fernando,

The NCS was designed to offload inference processing at the edge. Currently, you're not able to assist or accelerate computer vision of image related processing.

Computer vision pre-processing should be done on the host platform and processing releated to neural network inferences can be offloaded to the NCS.

I hope this answers your question.

Best Regards,
