I'm trying to make examples or make profile in ncsdk/examples/caffe/SqueezeNet and I got is error :
[Error 7] Toolkit Error: USB Failure. Code: Error opening device
*** Error in `python3': free(): invalid size: 0x0000000001aff3d0 ***
I'm using python3.5.2
Anyone can point to me how can I resolve this issue? Thanks
@coffee Can you debug or provide a more detailed log to see which line of code it occurs on? Does this error also occur in the other examples? Please let me know. Thanks.
Thanks for the replay. I am in the example directory, and I run "make profile" to simulate the error. Console output is in this file : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1v8VHjlpyTMQ3t_PK8Ft11_F2Z519WONs/view Thanks for the help.
@coffee Currently I am having a problem reproducing your issue. Can you give me more information about your system (dedicated machine/vm/NCSDK version/OS)? Aside from the make profile/examples issue, are you able to run any other examples? Try going into the ncsdk/examples/caffe/AlexNet folder and doing a
make run. Let me know what output you receive. Thanks.
Did you get any resolution on this issue("error opening device" when i run hello_ncs example)? Even i am facing this issue and it stops me to move forward with any further work using the NCS2 stick.
Please let me know if you have got any solution.
The problem you mentioned seems to be related to the use of the NCSDK/NCAPI with NCS2, current versions of the NCSDK do not have support for it. As you can see here https://ncsforum.movidius.com/discussion/1302/intel-neural-compute-stick-2-information, the SDK/API to use for the Intel® NCS2 is the Intel® distribution of OpenVINO™ toolkit. That may explain the observed error, hope this helps.
