But it fails despite multiple attempts agter several updates and upgrades , with the following error:

Hi CDude1,

It looks like the issue was due to a missing dependencies, could you try installing the following dependencies packages?

sudo apt-get install -y libusb-1.0-0-dev libprotobuf-dev libleveldb-dev libsnappy-dev libopencv-dev libhdf5-serial-dev protobuf-compiler libatlas-base-dev git automake byacc lsb-release cmake libgflags-dev libgoogle-glog-dev liblmdb-dev swig3.0 graphviz libxslt-dev libxml2-dev gfortran python3-dev python-pip python3-pip python3-setuptools python3-markdown python3-pillow python3-yaml python3-pygraphviz python3-h5py python3-nose python3-lxml python3-matplotlib python3-numpy python3-protobuf python3-dateutil python3-skimage python3-scipy python3-six python3-networkx python3-tk

Take a look at the following guide for additional information: https://movidius.github.io/blog/ncs-apps-on-rpi/

Hi CDude1,

I was able to replicate the installation issue you are seeing on the Raspberry Pi 3. I am opening a bug ticket with the development team to get their input. In the meantime, I suggest you trying the Intel OpenVINO toolkit which supports the original Intel Movidius Neural Compute Stick and the Intel Neural Compute Stick 2.

Please take a look at the OpenVINO toolkit installation guide for Raspberry Pi.

Jesus
