Update on the pull request

For your information, the OpenVINO™ developer who is responsible for reviewing the Pull Request is on leave and will be back early next month. OpenVINO™ developer is the most qualified person to assess the fix that was proposed.

On another note, before any code is merged into the master branch, it goes through several layers of scanning to prevent potential regression or security risks. Therefore, it is normal for the review process to take some time.

Hi Wan,

Thanks for the clarification, that makes complete sense now. I am aware it will take the some time and scanning to get it through after several layers of testing since it's going to be tested on various disciplines and applications of the hardware and software.
Let's wait for the next month I suppose.

Hi Wan,
I wanted to add on to this request, this is a potential/probable CPU/GPU and AI Chip update for any user's using AI models anywhere.
I suppose this could be set on priority since the outcomes can be massive.

The OpenVINO™ developer who is responsible for reviewing the Pull Request on sick leave and we would wait for his return and his approval before the merge. If there is some urgency or some critical demand to merge it as soon as possible, please share it with us and we will try to find a back-up. We understand it's not a normal situation and sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Wan_Intel,

Thanks for the information. Yes, it's both an urgency as well as a critical demand technically since it will improve the performance of CPU for inferencing AI models from any machine as it aligns THP in such a way that the memory allocation is not consistent meaning it won't leave vacant spaces for each model shard which can be of different sizes. This request and my solution I posted on IPA had been submitted last year so it's also an urgency since I have been waiting for the update and processing ever since. I understand that the concerned person is on sick leave so it would be much appreciated if you could find a suitable backup for it to be reviewed and processed.
