When will R2020.3.1 LTS be available for apt installs?

Any chance of it being made available for Ubuntu 20.04? Ubuntu 16.04 is nearing its end of life, and 18.04 isn't far behind, unless they extend it like they did  with 16.04.

Seems to me a LTS release should run on systems with more of a future than it looks like these two will have.

Greetings,

OpenVINO 2020.3.1 LTS is available in APT repository. Its full version number is 2020.3.341 (comparing to 2020.3.194 for 2020.3 non-LTS). This is currently available for Ubuntu16 and Ubuntu18 only.

You could follow these instructions https://docs.openvinotoolkit.org/2020.4/openvino_docs_install_guides_installing_openvino_apt.html

and then check all the OV 2020.3.1 packages available with "apt-cache search openvino | grep -i 2020.3.341"

Future LTS versions might be validated for Ubuntu 20.04.

If you are looking for Ubuntu 20.04 packages, you should follow these instructions for OV 2021.1 and 2021.2 https://docs.openvinotoolkit.org/2021.2/openvino_docs_install_guides_installing_openvino_apt.html

Ubuntu 20.04 is supported in preview mode so far, but we are working on full support enablement. More details on what components are validated for Ubuntu 20.04 here - https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/articles/openvino-relnotes.html

Sincerely,

Iffa

My point is I don't like giving up support for the original NCS stick when I'll eventually be forced to move my development system to 20.04

R2020.3 seems to be the last that supports the original NCS.

As of now only OpenVINO version 2021.1 and 2021.2 has the Ubuntu 20 silent support.

Since we are vastly moving towards these new versions, as far that I know, only the newer version would have the latest features and supports (this includes the NCS2 and Ubuntu support).

Sincerely,

Iffa
