Will Intel OpenVINO have Pre-Train Mode demo for user Hand Signs Reading?

Hi,

Will Intel OpenVINO team have demo for user Hand Signs Reading?

It might be interested to have Pre-Train Mode Demo with code sample program for reading user hand signs, such as Closed, Open, and Fingers counting 0 - 10? ...etc. hand signs A - Z ...etc.?

When might have the demo available?

Does anyone have developed using OpenVINO for the reading user hand signs program? Care to share some info?

Hi Chiu,

Currently we don't have any pretrained model with demo for hand sign recognition.

We will update you whenever we have this demo.

You may refer Pretrained Models for more information.

Best Regards,

Surya

with OpenVINO Open Model Zoo we do provide american sign language recognition model and demo. Although this might be not exactly what you were looking for.

Hi Surya and Vladminir,

Thank you for reply with links Pre-Trained Models and Open Mode Zoo American Sign Language (ASL) recognition model demo info.

I have Interest to develop the virtual interface application that people can control computer program, robot with easy,

and

program no need required user training, use simple hands signs such as Closed, Open, Lasso and Fingers counting 0 - 10.

The ASL hand gesture recognition is good to reading A - Z hand signs,

but hand gesture method require user must have ASL trained skills (less favorable).

On the other hand, hands signs such as Closed, Open, Lasso and Fingers counting 0 - 10 are universal, and use by people everyday,  A - Z reading (additional).

and

Plus User body Skeleton joints detection reading, (upper body joints).

It could be a useful OpenVINO features to enable new application developments such as Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Robot Interaction (HRI) ...etc.

Best Regards,
