Power analyzer Cyclone V inconsistent results

summary_current.JPGsummary_power.JPGI am using the power analyzer tool in Quartus 18.1 for a Cyclone V device with HPS. The power analyzer summary says that the single core HPS dynamic power is 884 mW.

When I look at the "Current Drawn form Voltage Supplies"

window, it shows VCC_HPS drawing 6.48 mA, or 7.1 mW at 1.1Volts.

I don't see any other current draws that will add up to the 884mW number.

Total current 6.4 mA is static current ; and Dynamic power is 884 mW ; please dont mix both ; since both are two different things;

About the Dynamic power calculation ; In general product of switching frequency ,Capacitance load * square of Voltage *Number of Elements or bits ; I am not sure how tool is calculating the HPS dynamic power since HPS is too complicated.

I would use the EPE instead of power Analyzer for the HPS section.

Thank you,

Thank you for the advice, however, I downloaded the Cyclone IV, Cyclone V EPE V16.1, Build 10.28 and it does not work properly. When the Cyclone V family is chosen, the device list remains all Cyclone IV parts, it does not change to Cyclone V parts. The website said this is the final build.
