I installed Quartus Prime Edition 21.1 and Questa - Intel FPGA Starter Edition 2021.2
Generated a License with the SSLC and created the enviroment variable LM_LICENSE_FILE.
But when I try to open Questa or do a RTL Simulation from Quartus, it gives a "Fatal License Error", saying: "Unable to chekout a license. Make sure your license file enviroment variable (e.g., LM_LICENSE_FILE) is set correctly and then run 'lmutil lmdiag' to diagnose the problem.", although if I run 'lmutil lmdiag' in the Windows PowerShell it does detect the license file and shows me it's location.
I had both programs, Quartus and Questa running on another computer, but as I am now using another PC, I have changed the primary computer ID in the license with the SSLC, but it just doesn't work.
Is there any way to get Questa working in this new PC?

Welcome to Intel forum. Could you help to regenerate again Questa license in SSLC and try it. Before that, can you help clear your web browsers cache/temporary internet files (if possible, shutdown your PC and restart back) and sign back to SSLC (https://licensing.intel.com/eval-free-licenses ) using Google chrome and see how things go.

Hello, that didn't work.
For some reason the computer was no longer active in the SSLC and I couldn't activate it.
In the end I decided to create a new computer and sign up for a free license in that one. Once I got the new license I changed the value of LM_LICENSE_FILE to match the new file, but Questa still can't checkout the license. I can't understand why.

For anyone reading this, the license was of FLOAT type.
I changed it to a FIXED type, as he told me. Then, after changing the LM_LICENSE_FILE variable and restart the PC, Questa started working just fine.
