I have been using Questa Starter edition for 3 years on my Ubuntu VM for development. Today, I had to regenerate a license file (node locked to my VM's NIC, which has not changed). I update the LM_LICENSE_FILE environment variable to point to where the license file is located.
Then, I am greeted with this error:
Unable to checkout a license. Make sure your license file environment variable (SALT_LICENSE_SERVER, MGLS_LICENSE_FILE, LM_LICENSE_FILE)
is set correctly and then run 'lmutil lmdiag' to diagnose the problem.
My VM OS hasn't changed or even been updated. I am scratching my head over this. Any help would be appreciated! I included the .dat license file in the attached zip.

Hello,
Can you reattach the .zip file? I can't see it from your post.
Regards,
Aqid
