Although i have searched through all the manuals for ARM manuals related to DE1-SoC, i have not found any which includes accelerometer configuration and setup for ARM A9 microprocessor. The ones i've found are related to NiOS 2 microprocessor. Can anyone help me with this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

The documentation for SoC EDS can be found here: https://www.altera.com/products/design-software/embedded-software-developers/soc-eds/getting-started... Links to the info you need are in the Embedded Design Users Guide in the Hardware Library chapter. Actually, skim through the whole manual. There is a lot of good information in there.
