can I use LCD TV set for my VGA LAB?

Hi, everyone. 

I am doing a lab.  

just display a rectangle on a monitor. 

using DE2 board. 

 

my question is, 

I have a pretty new LCD tv set and a very long VGA cable. 

can I use the tv as the monitor?

is there any difference between CRT VGA interface & LCD VGA interface?

On the interface side there is no difference (as far as the screen resolutions and frame rates are supported by your screen).
