Can we install linux GUI debugger on a Mac system ? My hope is because a Mac system is also unix based but I didn't try so far.

No, the linux IDB GUI will not work under Mac OS X.

You can use DDD gui with the IDB debugger on Mac OS X, however. Read Kevin's description here http://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/showthread.php?t=60060
