Activate Parallel Studio XE 2019 Update 4

How can I Activate my licensed copy of Parallel Studio XE 2019 Update 4? The software I am using requires this version of the fortran complier to build my project.

Did you not activate it six years ago? Do you have the serial number? If so, you can try https://registrationcenter.intel.com/ 

Click on Entitlements and enter the serial number. You should be able to enter the serial number when installing.

I will comment that the software does NOT "require" that specific, ancient version - you can almost certainly use the current, free version. with the caveat that the software supports 64-bit use and is not restricted to 32-bit.

I am setting  up a new server to maintain the ancient software.  I tried building with latest fortran compiler and received error.  Spoke with software vendor and they said the version of the software I am running does not support the latest fortran compiler only the 2019 version.  I tried registering my serial number and received message the website was unreachable or did not respond.

It is difficult to help you without knowing the errors you are getting...

Quite often, a claim that "... requires Intel Fortran version xxxx" does not mean much other than "when we  wrote this "requirement", that version was tried and found adequate. Years later, do you still expect that declaration to be meaningful? I think not.

What these experts are trying to tell you is:

1. you will probably spend less time getting your program to work with the latest Fortran than trying to solve the problem of an old program.

2. if you find 1 difficult it really means that you need to learn Fortran programming, it is a steep curve, but worth the climb.

3. Start and these experts will help but it has to be a specific problem.

4. If you are really lucky you will get 2019 to run.

I am interested.  First I cannot believe that this program has a stated reliance on old Intel Fortran.  Can you show me?

How are you trying to interface with the program,  I doubt there is a demo I can download. 

Professor Hall from UIUC wrote the 1978 manual on Nuclear Power Plant Earthquake loads.  He was a nice guy who I chatted with whilst I was at UIUC.  His last article, I reviewed, I was in the editor's office when he made interesting comments about the review.  So I have a passing interest.
