While installing the Intel FORTRAN compiler for Linux as part of a Docker container based on Ubuntu 16.04, I got an error indicating "Unable to extract data from RPM package. Please check that temporary directory is not full.". It turned out that the cpio command was missing.
It would help if the installer checked for cpio like it does for other commands.

Thanks - we have another report of this and it has been escalated to the install developers.

Would you please tell me which edition of Intel Parallel Studio you were installing? At the point of error, did it identify a particular RPM package it was trying to extract?

I was installing Composer Edition 2016 update 3 FORTRAN (using the script at the url http://registrationcenter-download.intel.com/akdlm/irc_nas/9065/parallel_studio_xe_2016_update3_online.sh). It didn't identify any specific RPM package.
