Can I uninstall Update 3 after installing update 5 of Parallel Studio XE Fortran

Can I uninstall Update 3 after installing update 5 of Parallel Studio XE Fortran? It takes up 2.3 gigs of harddrive I would like to have back. Since it is still there I suspect it is need for some reason.

Yes - I do this sort of cleanup all the time. Many years ago, this could cause problems, but not nowadays.

Many years ago the installer would offer two options: Install new version, Update existing.

It can be useful to keep both for a while as compiling issues may occure in the new version and you can go back to see if it happened in the old version before submitting a report.
