Can Licensed Version Coexist with Beta Version?

Hello,

Is it possible to have the licensed compiler and linker (or whatever they are called now) coexist with the 2016 Beta Version?  What about other libraries and tools (MKL, VTune, etc.)?

BTW, I use the 2010 Visual Studio that comes with the compiler.

Thanks,

Gabriel

I'll be checking this out.  If it works correctly, it should be possible to install beta without breaking the previous installation, except that VTune driver setup may be expected to displace the previous one.  I did find the last time that the beta must be removed explicitly before installing the subsequent release (2016, several months from now).   I didn't read the fine print to see whether the usual clauses are present about not asking on the forums for support of beta, but instead using the premier.intel.com support (if that is the one to which you have access).

The compilers and performance libraries allow this, the tools (VTune, Inspector, Advisor) do not. For information on selecting compiler versions in Visual Studio, see here.

As I proceed into the installation, it does in fact tell me that the new VTune will become the active one, suggesting there should be documented way of returning to the other.

I may choose to deselect the beta VTune in some of my installations, not wanting to take chances on my unsupported platforms.

It also says that Visual Studio integrations of 2013xe and earlier compilers will be removed, but more recent ones should remain available.

The initial signup letter did imply that I should report any problems on premier.intel.com and in response to future surveys (as opposed to other possible channels)
