Compaq Visual FORTRAN on Win XP (64 bit)?

I have tried to install Compaq Visual FORTRAN onWin XP(64 bit). But Developer Studio does not start. Only an error message is writen that:

"the image file I:/SETUP.EXE is valid, but is for a machine type other than the current machine"

Is there any chance to make it working?

Unless something has changed since the last time this was discussed, you could browse down to the actual 32-bit installer for CVF and run that. Look up the comments.
Of course, you get only 32-bit x87 code from CVF.
