I am using Compaq fortran compiler and have not done much programing in fortran on the PC. Does anyone know of any utility that will map out a call sequence of subroutines, ie., which subroutines call which. There used to be a utility called SPAG ( by PRISM corp) on the mainframe that did this. I have a large old code and trying to decipher the logic and not sure how to do it in DVF.

CVF has this feature, though it is not obvious and may be less useful than it first appears.
With your project open, select Tools..Source Browser. You will be prompted to do a rebuild with the settings changed - click OK. When the rebuild finishes, a Browse dialog box will open. Uncheck "Case sensitive".
Now type the name of a routine (or your main program or "main" if you don't have a PROGRAM statement) and select Call graph. Click OK. You'll see a call tree.
Unfortunately, there is no way to save this information! The source browser is a MS developer studio feature and we don't control that aspect of it.

You can save the information by printing a hard copy of the screen, but that's of limited usefullness.
Another limitation is that you may not be able to fit the entire call tree into the display window if it's too long.

Spag is available for Win32 from Polyhedron, but I think it's pretty expensive. Also check out Fortran Partner.
