Did the user guide and reference manual disappear from IVF 11.1.035?

I have just upgraded IVF from 11.0.074 to 11.1.035 under VS2005.
In 11.0.074 (and previous versions) the user guide and reference manual were accessible directly from the top of the 'help' menu of the VS2005.
In 11.1.035 that 'help' menu item disappeared.
How do I get to the user guide and reference manual from the VS2005 now?

Thanks,

Yair

Hi, Yair

Could you find it from "help"->"Intel Visual Fortran Compiler Pro" -> "Intel Visual Fortran Compiler Help"?

See if running the attached program brings it back.

I thought this "disappearance" is by design. It is still available through the help menu but it is not the first one in the dropdown. It looks like the help is now available in a more "standaradized/integrated with VS" help format.

However, the F2003 features are not detailed well. I had reported this a couple of months back i.e. the documentation is pretty thin and appears a bit disorganized when it comes to F2003. May be it is there now but I am not searching correctly. Or may be it did not make it in time for this release.

Yes, the help is now more integrated with VS and is, as you say, generally mid-way down the Help menu. No, the F2003 features recently added (and some not so recently) are missing from the manual. We apologize for this and intend to have them documented for the future. A link to the F2003 standard is provided in the right column of the main forum listing.

Hey Steve

No need for apologies..I can understand priorities and resource allocation juggling. I am sure the documentation will get a higher priority as more users start incorporating F2003. I wish somehow enhancement to the editor also sneaks in...:)

Thank you all. Now I have it alright, indeed organized differently.

A new question though:
Now when I search for an item it looks first locally and then tries other Internet resources.
However, my computer is stand alone and is not connected to the Internet. What happens is that it takes forever to recover from the Internet search trials. Is there a way to limit the search to the local help?

Thanks,

Yair

I think it's up to Visual Studioconfigrations.
Changes could be:Firstly select Help ->Help Favorate, in the opening window of VS Documention, select Help -> Help on Help, then you can set your favorate.

Yair,
Tools->Options->Environment->Help->Online
click "Try local only, not online"
