Why only Intel Fortran has the peculiar idea that the documentation should be reachable through a .html page, accessible from the start menu? The idea is very bad: I expect to have the pdf or chm or whatever accessible through one mouse click. Instead, I must go through hoops to reach it. Here's one scenario:
1) I click on "Documentation" in the start menu. If not already open, my Firefox is set up to remember the last session so I have to wait 5-10 seconds for it to complete.
2) Say I need MKL documentation. On the web page (filled with wall of unnecessary text, half of which is the legal disclaimer), I have to locate & click on "Intel Math Kernel Library Documentation" link
3) A new tab opens, with the same wall of text. I'd like to open "mklman.chm"...
4) However, it is a chm, and Windows has Security (you know, the stuff that lets hackers in but prevents you from doing the job), so I get only the choice of "save file" but not "open" it. In resignation, I copy the shortcut into the Explorer Address Bar and I finally get my help.
That's only a dozen or less .pdf or .chm items, and they all should be simply available from the Start Menu. Please, save us from all those hoops.

How i use it is toopen it and leave it open. Then subsequent access is instantaneous.
It's thesame as with MSDN Library documentation.

I see. I didn't know that MKL documentation is embedded with the rest.
However, speaking of MKL, an important piece is missing (as far as I can tell): an equivalent of userguide.pdf. In particular, its chapter 3 and the page "Layered Model Concept" is extremely important in order to get the linked MKL libraries right, but I don't see that information anywhere in the rest of the online help. For example, searching for "mkl_intel_thread.lib" in the online docs gives a plenty of false hits but I don't see it actually mentioned anywhere.

Jugoslav,
Please make your comments known in the MKL section of the forum so that the MKL developers can understand the issue. Thanks.
