Download speed from intel premier support

Hello,
I am having a lot of trouble downloading updates from the Intel premier support site. Although I have ample bandwidth (256 kB/s), I never seem to get above 70 kB/s when downloading from Intel Support. Since updates are until now always full installations of apprx. 170 MB and with version 9.0 even 250 MB, I am stuck with download times of well over an hour. And often the download breaks up.
Are there any mirror sites from where I can download?
Regards,
Walter Kramer

I know that mirror sites are being added, initially in Asia and then probably Europe. I expect that volumes are very high right now, so keep trying or try again in a few days.

I am still not having any succes in downloading the latest version.
I have been trying downloadmanagers that should support the https protocol, but they don't seem to work on the intel site. I am really fed up with waiting an our for a download and then getting the message that the download failed soI can start all over again.
Is there a downloadmanager that is supported by the intel site, otherwise I am afraid I have entered the age of having to wait for CD or DVD versions again.

Hmm - I had thought we had changed file servers specifically to allow working with download managers. Please send a complaint to Premier Support about this.

There is an FTP site where new customer downloads come from - I don't remember the URL offhand (and am out of the office this week.) If you can locate this, you can download 9.0 from there by FTP.
