First a disclaimer... I am running Compaq Visual Fortran 6.5 which is a bit dated, but worked just fine until recently. I have Intel Visual Fortran installed but prefer the development environment in Compaq VF.
All of a sudden, when trying to insert files int a project I get
DFDEV.EXE Application Error
The instruction at "0x5002c3b9 referenced memory at '0x00000000'. The memory could not be "read".
I got IT down and we poked at it for awhile to no avail. Then I remembered that Windows Office 7 had recently been installed. When it was disinstalled the problem went away. So I'm back to Windows Office XP and happily developing code. I have no idea what caused the conflict.

By "Office 7" do you mean Office 2007? I haven't seen such a problem with CVF (6.6), which I do go into occasionally.
