I tried to reinstall the same download I bought back in January, build #4.
It can't get pastpackage 9 of 17 "processing dependencies."
I used the same serial number it gave me before.
Says it's trying to remove backup files.
The package I downloaded was the 845 MB package that supposedly had VS 2008 built into it.
what should I do now? Abort it? How long does it take?
Who can I talk to?

You can talk to us here. But some of the steps can take a very long time - don't necessarily believe what it says it is doing.
If by this point it is still stuck there, cancel the install, if it will let you, then try running it again. Let me know what happens.
But, I will ask, why aren't you selecting the current version, which is Update 4 (soon to be Update 5)?

I meant to say "Update #4" which is what I clicked on....
But it did finally complete. When is build #5 coming?
Suggestion: maybe a progress indicator (% wise) for EACH STEP,
especially for the really long steps would be helpful?
Or at least say "This step should take *** minutes?"
Especially since we don't know how long each step should take?
Yours; Bill S.
BTW, when will the newest VS come out with a compatible Fortran integration?

Update 5 should be out this coming week. The step that takes so long is running some MS code we can't provide estimates for.
I don't know what you mean by "latest VS". We support VS2010.
