I have just installed v9.0, and have come across a problem using the debugger in VS.NET 7.1. When I set a breakpoint and run to this point, a window pops up telling me it cannot evaluate expressions without installing the Fortran Debug Expression Evaluator, and it asks me if I want to install that. I click Yes, but then I get the following message in a new window:
The Intel Fortran Debug Expression Evaluator could not be installed due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.
If I click OK, the I cannot see the value of variables in the debugger. What do I do?

It seems that something did not go right in the VS.NET integration install. Close VS.NET, uninstall and reinstall the Intel Fortran integration into VS.NET, and see what happens. If you need more help, please contact Intel Premier Support.

I already did that before posting, but that did not help. One thing that did happen during the install was that an error message which popped up saying it couldn't find the file Common7IDEdevenv.exe. Note that I have installed most of Visual Studio in d:VS7.1 however the VS installation wanted still to put some files under c:Program Files... I looked there and found the above file, so I copied it to the d:VS7.1 area. This got around the above error message during the install of the VS.NET integration. However now Ihave the debug problem.

Ok, something is seriously messed up with your VS.NET installation. How can you have "most" of it installed on D - wouldn't all of it go there?
Try this:
1. Uninstall the Fortran integration
2. Use Add/Remove Applications to Change VS.NET. Select Repair.
3. Reinstall the Fortran integration
Don't try to copy files to work around errors.

I solved the problem, which was caused by VS.NET being installed to two separate areas. The history behind this was, as my C drive was running short on space, I wanted to install VS.NET on D:. However, at the start of the VS.NET installation it asks you for main areas to install to, for the8-10 components. However this choice was greyed out (and no ...'s) for allcomponents except VC++ and the SDK. So it appeared to want to insist that all the other components went under the default area on C:. So I installed VC++ and the SDK to D:, and the rest to C:. Then I installed IVF9.0, to D:. It became apparent that IVF wanted everything on D:, but bits of VS.NET were on C:, hence the problems.
I uninstalled everything, reinstalled on C:, and it all works now. Not my ideal solution, however as my C: drive is 95% full. I would have prefered everything on D:, but there you go.

That's strange. I'll see if I can reproduce it here. I don't recall seeing an option to split components across multiple devices. I know that some of the files end up on your boot partition anyway.
