Is the Intel Visual Fortran Compiler Professional version 11.1 the same compiler that exists in the Intel Visual Fortran Composer XE 2011 for Windows ??
Or is the Intel Visual Fortran Composer XE 2011 for Windows at version 12?
The key is that I need the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Shell in order to function with Matlab and REFPROP.
Thanks,
John Forney

Composer XE is ifort version 12.0. 12.1 is in preparation, I've seen it labeled as Composer XE SP1.

If you specifically need VS2008 Shell, then either 11.1 or 12.0 (Visual Fortran Composer XE 2011) has that. A future version will include the VS2010 Shell, but will still work with VS2008 Shell if you have it. (You could install the older version with VS08 Shell and then install the newer version without the shell.)
