Is there a way to get chosen Forum Options to persist from visit tovisit?

The Forum Options are set by pressing the button at the bottom of a page. How does one set them once and forget them? It's annoying to have to set them on each visit to the forum.

The options seem to stick for me if I log in. I can't get "Set all posts read" to work for me, though - I've reported that.
