We are intending to use Intel Fortran Compiler XE 12.1. It takes weeks for our office people to process a request, so I would like to download an evaluation version to get started. I have registered and so on. When I press Try And Buy 30 day Evaluation Fortran, all I get is an error message;

I believe there was a glitch earlier with our Registration/Download Center. I received the same error earlier this morning for downloads under our Student program. I tried the 30-day Evaluation and Student downloads just a moment ago and they appear to now be working. Our apologies for the error.
Can you please try the 30-day Evaluation link again and let us know whether the error persists?
Perhaps it is understood but I wanted to add that the 30-day evaluation download is for our current Parallel Studio XE 2015 release. You will need to follow steps in the How do I get an older version of an Intel® Software Development Product? article to find the 12.x version.

Well the error was gone so I was able to download. But the newest version will not talk to my Visual Studio 2008. We are stuck with 2008 so what can I do now?

Refer to the instructions provided earlier about obtaining older versions to navigate to the Intel Registration Center. You will want to obtain the Intel® Visual Fortran Composer XE 2013 SP1 for Windows* release which supports Microsoft Visual Studio 2008*. I recommend you elect the Update 5 containing the latest bug fixes for that release.

OK that worked, thank you.
I might add that your website is hard to navigate, and the referenced pages are not the same as in the instructions. You ought to get a someone in to remodel it to be more welcoming and helpful. :-)
