How to integrate Intel Parallel Studio XE 2017 with visual studio community 2017

My system OS is windows 10 x64 enterprise

Installed Visual Studio Community 2017 (VSC2017)

Installed Intel Parallel Studio XE 2017 (PSXE2017)

During installation PSXE2017 reports that it cannot find any version of visual studio, but allows the installation to continue

When running PSXE2017, it reports that is cannot find visual studio.

Does Intel have an integration tool or script to resolve this issue.

I have tries VSC2019 with PSXE2019, but I get the same result.

Any help would be appreciated.

Suggestions:

1. Normally when you install Parallel Studio it asks for which VS needs integration, you need to select the check box.  I would have thought the PS 2017 would integrate with VS 2017, but it depends which VS was released at the time of the PS release.

2. Upgrade to VS 2019 Community -- it is free and a little better than 2017

3. Update to the free Intel OneAPI -- being with the latest compiler helps as most people on this forum who respond will be using close to the latest compiler

4. When in doubt - uninstall PS and when you reinstall make sure you see that the check boxes are checked

5. Good hunting.
