How to remove the "prompt window" after stopping debug with SHIFT+F5?

Hi,
I am getting stuck with several "black prompt windows" from Visual Studio after I interrupt the debug process by pressing SHIFT+F5. The debug stops, however the black windows remains in my desktop forever until I restart the machine.
Task manager can't get rid of them. Is this my computer's problem or something else? Please point me in the right direction.

I am using a Windows XP, 32 bit environment, Intel Fortran 11 and Visual Studio 2008.

It is a known problem that results from a particular update to Windows XP. A hotfix is available - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982551.
