I am not able to install Intel Visual Fortran Composer XE 2013 SP1 Update 6 for Windows

Whenever I insert my serial number to initially activate and install the product mentioned in the subject, I always get the following message:

"Activation rights do not allow this software to be installed. This could be due to expired subscription or incompatible serial number".

You're installing an older product than you are licensed for - the serial numbers work on only the licensed version. Once you have installed the licensed version, you can then install an older one. Alternatively, log in to the Intel Registration Center and have it email you a license file (you may already have one from when you registered the serial number). Save that to disk and then, when you install, choose to use a license file rather than serial number and point to the license file.

Why are you using this old, no longer supported version?
