I have Visual Studio 2005 PPE with the 11.0 compiler and IMSL 11.0.067 installed. Do I need to uninstall IMSL and reinstall after the VS 2008 shell and the 11.1.035 Fortran compiler are installed or will this be taken care of by the 11.1.035 installation package ?

No, you don't need to reinstall IMSL. Everything should just work. The actual IMSL libraries provided with 11.1 are the same as for 11.0.067. You will need to add paths to IMSL under Tools > Options > Intel Fortran > Compilers as you did with VS2005.
