IVF 9.1 and VS 2005 installation problem

I am trying to install IVF 9.1 Standard from the CD including the installation ofVS 2005 support (VS 2005 Professional already installed and working).

I receive the warning "You must install the "Intel Fortran Compiler for 32-bit based applications" version 9.0 or higher before installing the Integration into Microsoft Visual Studio. I tried this twice (but no reboot yet), with the identical error message.

Ihave VS installed on a non-default drive, BTW. What should I try next?

Please download the latest version, 9.1.029, from the Intel Registration Center Product Downloads and try that. Having VS installed on a non-default drive is fine (that's what I do.)

It sounds to me as if the compiler install did not complete successfully. Pay close attention to any message boxes that appear.

Problem solved. When applying the downloaded 9.1.029 install pack I installed for "all users" instead of "just me". Just-me was the option I had selected the when I installed version 9.1.027.

There was a helpful comment on the dialog box of the9.1.029install pack saying that I needed to select 'all users' if I wanted to have Visual Studio integration. I think this comment was not present in the earlier (9.1.027) install pack.

Yes, we added that for just this problem. I don't fully understand myself why this is necessary.
