Hi
I have Vs2008 installed on my 64-bit machine with Windows 7 Home Premium installed.
I want to build a 32-bit application.
I have downloaded : w_cprof_p_11.1.060_ia32.exe and also w_cprof_p_11.1.060_novsshell.exe

but when I try to install either of them I got the message that the "file" is not compatible with the operation system.
What can I do to be able to buil a 32-bit app ? Which version of the compiler shall I install ?
Shall I install a 64-compiler? Can I use that compiler to build a 32-bit app ?

Thanks in advance!

Either of those should work. The latter would be the one I'd recommend. Do you get this error immediately on running the downloaded installer?

Yes,I get it immediately.
The exact message: The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running.
Check your computer's system information to see wheter you need an X86(32-bit) or x64(64-bit)
version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.

I can right-click on the setup.exe and choose "troubleshoot compatibility"

Then I could select "Windows compatibility mode Windows XP(Servcie Pack 2)

But no luck,same problem...

All of the installers should run. It could be that the download got corrupted. Did you use the "Download Manager" or save it directly? I suggest deleting the file and downloading again, using the "other" method (save as if you used the download manager, or download manager if you used save-as.)
