I'm trying to install the ifc on a Slackware distribution but the system answer me:
RPM is not installed or not functioning correctly.
Please choose from the following:
1. Exit.
2. Continue without RPM. This is an "unsupported" install.
Please enter you choice:_
RPM is installed in my machine and I continued. The following message was written?

for information about installing on unsupported platforms.

Follow the instructions in the document referenced, substiuting Fortran for C as appropriate.
