When trying to link I get the following
C:\Program Files (x86)\IntelSWTools\parallel_studio_xe_2019.4.066\bin>psxevars.bat intel64
Intel(R) Parallel Studio XE 2019 Update 4
Copyright (C) 2009-2019 Intel Corporation. All rights reserved.
ERROR: Visual Studio 2013, 2015, 2017 or 2019 is not found in the system.
I've followed advice from previous posts such as https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/installing-microsoft-visual-studio-2017-for-use-with-intel-compilers - but this workload was already installed before the Intel Fortran composer. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

You referenced the VS2017 article - you need https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/installing-microsoft-visual-studio-2019-for-use-with-intel-compilers instead.

I appreciate the reply - but the instructions are unfortunately exactly the same. Install the Desktop development with C++ workload - which is installed as mentioned.

Uninstall Intel Parallel Studio. Then reinstall and pay careful attention to messages displayed by the installer.
