Intel Fortran Integration in VS 2010

Hi @all,

since Intel Visual Fortran 2011 Update 6 something goes wrong with the VS2010 Integration.

When double clicking on a *.FOR File it doesn't open any longer for editing.

Instead just its title bar appears and the whole edit window is missing.

I've always to reinstall Update 5 again to get things working :-(

I've tried this with Update 6, 7 and 8 - all with the same behaviour...

Does anybody have a clue or any idea?

Best regards and Merry X-Mas!

Andreas

Which VS2010 edition are you using? If you open VS2010 and open a .FOR file there, does it work? What happens if you drag the .FOR onto the VS2010 icon?

Hi Steve,

I'm using the Professional Edition (Student)

I've currently reinstalled Update 5 of Intel Fortran Composer 2011 which works fine and reinstalling one of the other updates would require about 1,5h of work...

I didn't try to drag a fortran file onto the VS2010 icon, but tried to open the files of an already existing solution by double clicking on them.

For C++ files the newer Updates still worked fine, but they didn't recognize Fortran Files (just opened the title bar and nothing else). Something seems to get wrong with the Fortran File association inside VS2010...)

Best regards

Andreas

If you would like help resolving the issue, we'll need you to reinstall the newer version. However, you may as well wait on this until after the new year.
