Good morning,
I am new to the Linux world and have begun using Linspire 5.0. I'd like to try the Intel FORTRAN compiler on that system, but I cannot get it to install. I can run the install.sh script, but it won't let me choose any of the options. If I close that session and try again, the OS tells me there is another instance of the script already running. Has anyone tried to install and usethis compiler on Linspire?
Thanks
Joe

Okay, I finally got the installer running, but it will not accept the path for my license file. I don't have this workstation on the Net--no extra drop in my office--so I cannot use the registration number option...

Sorry! I told you I was new to Linux! :-)
I got the compiler installed okay, finally. I had to install Alien so the RPM files could be used, but it's working now.
However, I cannot get the Math Kernel installed. It chokes on the RPM files. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks again!
Joe

You're using an unsupported distribution? Just a guess... :-)
