Hi,
I have some programs which were written in Compaq Fortran and which used IMSL subroutines for its calculations. I want to use/edit/upgrade those programs again but I don't have the old Compaq Fortran compiler any more. My questions are:
1. Which product(s) from Intel I have to buy to use those programs again?
2. Should I have to buy MS Developer Studio separately to run these programs.
3. What should be the total cost invloved.
I am on a tight budget so please provide an exhaustive list so that I know the total amount I have to spend on this "revival" project. I don't want any surprises after buying a product which will need another product to be fully active.
Thanks and regards
Abhijit

Hello Abhijit,
If oyu need IMSL*, I would suggest Intel® Visual Fortran Composer XE 2013 for Windows with IMSL 6.0*. This includes Microsoft Visual Studio* 2010 Shell and Libraries, so you do not need to purchase Visual Studio seperately.
For pricing information, see http://software.intel.com/en-us/buy-or-renew/.

As Annalee pointed out, that product is intended as a direct replacement and compatible upgrade from the CVF with IMSL, and doesn't require buying anything else beyond Windows itself.
If you want to save money, you will need to study how to replace your IMSL calls by MKL or open source; then you could choose any of the Fortran products. For students who can get almost free copy of a qualifying Visual Studio, there are cheaper versions which don't include VS Shell.
