I was a watching a show about Mission Control and the lady being questioned on what she did - said -- I am the guy with the flat top haircut and I knew exactly who she meant.

I have some Fortran code from 1976 from NASA, but did NASA use Fortran for the missions - Apollo etc..?

The onboard computers were very specialized and basically used assembler or machine code - no high-level languages.
