Problem with IMSL serial number

Hi,

I bough the Intel IMSL Fortran Numerical Library, but when I install it a error message appears after I enter the serial number, as if it were an invalid serial number. How could this be fixed? The error message goes attached. [Message deleted by Steve L as it reveals serial number]

Thanks

I've deleted the photo as it reveals your serial number.

What you are installing is an "add-on" to Intel Visual Fortran - it cannot be installed on its own. I don't see that you have a license to a product containing Intel Visual Fortran - at least not registered under your email address. Please purchase and install one of the Intel Parallel Studio XE 2015 products that include Fortran and then you will be able to install this add-on. If you don't want to do that, contact your reseller to arrange returning the license for a refund.

I have installed Parallel Studio XE 2015, but the problem persists. What could be done?

Paulo, please use "Send Author a Message" (on my reply here) and tell me the serial number you used when installing Parallel Studio XE. I don't see one registered to you, though your organization does have some registered.

To close this out - the problem occurs if you have a floating license for Intel Parallel Studio XE, buy the IMSL "add-on" license, and try to install that using a serial number. The IMSL license is named-user only and the installer won't allow the mixture when installing by serial number.

The workaround is to register the IMSL serial at the Intel Registration Center, have it send you the license file by email and provide the license file to the installer rather than the serial number. We may be able to improve the installer's behavior regarding this in the future.
