Problem with forum upgrade - can't reply to topics predating the upgrade

The forum was upgraded sometime between Jan-13 and Jan-14. Looks very nice, but I can't reply to any topics started on Jan-13 or before. The reply link is just not there - I only get "Report abuse"

Help?

Problem was also reported in the above thread of the visual fortran forum.

Should be fixed.

Problem is fixed. Thanks.

While we're talking about the new forum, I have noticed

1. that the URL in notification emails is invalid because "Post/Reply" is appended to it. For example, I just got an email with this link: http://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/showthread.php?t=71213Post/reply

2. that the quoting function is buggy: as you can see above, it does not give the name of the poster being quoted.

When the forum is more than one page long, there's no "Reply" option in any post (I'm posting with Firefox 3.0.17, which is the supported version in Ubuntu 9.04).

Also, this version of the forum is unusable from Opera, which is my primary browser ---with the previous one I could at least login and post without enabling the "Allow scripts to detect context menu events" option in Opera, but the new version the login doesn't work even with that option enabled.

A suggestion for an improvement to the thread subscription tool:

- no need to send a notification email to the poster of a new reply. they know they've just replied.

A strange behaviour of the forum:

- threads titles appear bold even after I have clicked on them and read through the new posts.

EDIT: Just noticed a strange behaviour: this post was 5-star rated immediately as I submitted it. I don't know how reproducible this might be - it may or may not be related to the fact I 5-starred a reply in another thread just a few minutes ago.

Another problem with the new forum:

- When starting a new thread, the Preview button is broken and leads to an error page / page not found.

I can't reproduce the Preview problem. What exact steps do you follow to see this?

Here's what I do:

1. Go to http://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/intel-fortran-compiler-for-linux-and-mac-os-x/

2. Click on "New thread" button. This takes me to http://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/thread_edit.php?f=14

3. In "Thread title", type "test"

4. In the main text box, type "test"

5. Click "Preview" button. This takes me to http://software.intel.com/error.php

Ok - I can reproduce this if I log in as an ordinary user, but not with my Intel login. Thanks - I'll report it.

Thanks. This one above has been bugging me too - I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the issue.
