Does the Intel Visual Fortran compiler allow you to develop on your PC (WinXP) and remotely compile your application through the IDE on a remote machine (linux x86)?
I seem to recall that you could do this in the past, and if so, what ports in the firewall need to be opened if there is a firewall between the two (all on a private network).
Requirements to make use of this scenario would be much appreciated.

DEC had such a thing at one time, which was sold as an "Enterprise Toolkit". It was discontinued (by DEC) years ago. Intel has nothing like that.
